Test Lead / Associate Test Manager (QA/Testing)

Job Description / Required Skills:

Strong QA person with a minimum 4 years working experience as QA Lead in the areas of software quality assurance & testing using industry standards (CMM or ISO).
Must be able to handle multiple projects in a fast pace environment
Strong communication, leadership and analysis skills
A detailed understanding of the management of the QA process within SDLC(waterfall, iterative and Agile).
Ability to identify problem areas and recommend appropriate solutions to customer with options available and the merits of different QA approaches
Strong experience with a variety of testing tools and approaches, manual and automation testing using various tools like MS/ Telerik , QTP, Selenium Automation Framwork etc.
Experience in developing automation framework planning will be a big plus
Must have experience in Unit testing, Black Box Testing, Sanity and Smoke Testing, Integration testing, Functional testing, GUI Testing, System Testing, Ad-hoc testing, User Acceptance Testing, Regression testing, Compatibility testing etc.
Ability to estimate, plan, and execute testing cycles.
Experienced in leading teams to provide automated testing solutions.
Experience in Test estimation and writing of Test Plans for manual and automated projects, traceability of requirements, defect logging & tracking and qualitative analyses of automated suites.

Responsibilities:

Ideal candidate should be proactive, self sufficient and will be the champion in developing and implementing QA and testing processes.
Interact with the client on quality objectives, quality processes and define QA strategy
Plan, formulate and agree comprehensive quality procedures / standards as per client’s requirement and establish clearly defined methods for QA /testing team to apply.
Establish standards of service for clients
Identifying relevant quality-related training needs and delivering training;
Work closely with internal and external project teams
Promoting quality achievement and performance throughout the organisation
Setting QA compliance objectives and ensuring that targets are achieved
Setting up and maintaining controls and documentation procedures
Collating, analysing and creating metrics against defined parameters
Monitoring performance by gathering relevant data and producing statistical reports
Experience on ITIL framework will be an added advantage. Experience on retail domain will be a big plus.
Experience in testing in Microsoft development environment and web services
